Wickenburg Christmas Tree Lighting
In 1985 Cops Who Care planted the "Community Christmas Tree" at the Southwest corner of Wickenburg Way and Tegner.
Craig Motorcraft's not only donated the space for Wickenburg's own Christmas tree, but each year also donates the expense of lighting over 2000 Christmas tree lights.
Each year, on the Saturday following Thanksgiving, Cops Who Care celebrates the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree with the community at the Desert Caballeros Museum Park, across the street from the tree.
Children from the Assembly of God Church Choir and others sing Christmas Carols and enjoy donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate donated by the Chaparral Ice Cream and Bakery. |
